Welcome

The Bishop A. L. Hardy Academy of Theology is focus on spiritual growth and spiritual development. The Academy is known throughout the Northwest and across the country for its academic leadership in Christian Education. It is located in the Greater Pacific Northwest, Seattle Washington.

It is our goal to provide a robust academic program in religious studies to anyone who has a desire to grow spiritually in strengthen their religious fellowship with the Lord, and their stewardship in their local church. Our training is not intended to advance persons in the secular field of employment however it may be a considering factor in some forms of community work.

Students can take individual classes for personal enrichment or pursue a program of coursework leading to a certificate, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or a doctorate degree. We invite prospective students to visit our campus site and to audit our classes.

If  this is your first introduction to our school, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Our Vision

The Bishop A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology School Objectives

The Bishop A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology is a Biblical Seminary. Our training is a fourfold thrust of this ministry.

1. Jesus Christ, Our Savior

2. He is our Healer
3. The Baptizer in the Holy Ghost
4. Our soon-coming King

The Bishop A.L. Hardy Academy was established to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our ultimate goal is to advance our students to our highest degree by graduating them in the following subjects:

  • Associate of Theology (A.Th)

  • Bachelor of Theology (B.Th)

  • Master of Theology and Religious Education  (M.Th)

  • Doctor of Ministry (D.Min)

  • Doctor of Theology (D.Th)

1. Disciplined by serious training in the Word of God.
2. Humbled by an ever-deepening walk with God
3. Enlarged in the spirit by an expanding compassion for mankind
4. And Anointed from above by an inner and overflowing work of the Spirit of God

II. The Academy’s Spiritual Objectives

The objective of the A. L. Hardy Academy of Theology is foremost a spiritual one. The entire program is designed to build Christian Leaders who work from a strong foundation steeped in the Word of God.

We believe that the Christian worker is only as effective as their efforts for the Lord God as they enrich themselves in their walk with God. We seek to cultivate the roots of personal spiritual experience in an atmosphere of prayer and humility before the Lord.

Micah said, in Micah 6:8, "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

David writes in Psalms 27:14, "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord."

We have learned that the fruit of Christian work is only lasting  when it is rooted in the Word of God. At the Academy, we seek to develop lives that are disciplined in the habit of Bible study and are shaped by the precepts of Scripture. When Joshua was accepted as Israel’s second leader, He told them in Joshua 1:8.

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt mediate herein day and night, that thou mayest observed to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

III. The Academy’s Educational Objective

The educational objective of the Academy is to formulate and contribute to the preparation of workers in the Christian vocation.

We believe the whole personality must be developed if the individual is to be considered truly educated. We seek to operate a program of adequate breadth so as to challenge both the social awareness and the character growth of the student as a part of his or her training.

Paul writes to Timothy in 2 Tim. 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

We know that if the Word of God is to be "rightly divided, " the student will have to study to understand its proper application.  For example, a student should understand there are three classifications of people referenced in 1 Cor. 10:32: the Jews, the Gentiles, and the Church of God.

It must also be divided dispensationally, prophetically, and historically.

IV. The Academy’s Vocational Objective

We believe that the specific call of God for any personal Christian ministry still grips individual hearts because we exist as an institution ordained by God for the training of men and women for pulpit, missionary, educational, or music ministries within the framework of the church.  Jesus told his disciples in Mt. 28:19,  "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

We at the Academy further believe that the scriptures also teach the fact of a ministry for every believer, regardless of his specific vocation. We strongly welcome into our program those who desire a deeper knowledge of the Christian faith and work. This will provide a firm foundation for a lifetime of service to God.

We, therefore, conclude that we believe that education is not completed by propounding truth and that action and application are necessary to the complete cycle of learning. We emphasize and lead the student into a meaningful program of Christian service as it correlates to his academic program:
